About the Service

What commitment do we expect from you?

Who can apply?

Contact

The Volunteer Programme at Blackpool began in March 2007 with five ex-services users who wanted to maintain their links with the service. The scheme has allowed them to develop both personally and professionally, while simultaneously providing the service with a valuable resource. The programme works closely with other agencies in the area with a view to providing the most relevant and challenging training available.

As a volunteer you are free to leave at any time and for any reason, however to get the most out of your experience we would hope that you would be with us for a period of three months or more.

Since we welcome volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds we employ a flexible approach to volunteering and the hours that people can commit to. All that we ask is that you keep us informed of the hours that you have agreed to commit to.

People volunteer for many reasons so if you are enthusiastic, motivated and willing to learn we’d love to hear from you. Volunteers of all ages (18+) and backgrounds are welcome.

All successful applicants are subject to a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check

If you’d like to take part in our volunteering programme, or if you’d simply like to find out more, contact James Wood, Project Worker Addaction Blackpool on tel. 01253 752 059 or by email : j.wood@addaction.org.uk
