Chief Superintendent Russ Weaver at Blackpool Police is the Chair of BSafe Blackpool.

He said: “Joint working in partnership has a proven track record in bringing about huge reductions in burglary and vehicle crime over the last few years and the potential for further collaboration to achieve similar results against anti-social behaviour and violent crime is huge. 'Nightsafe' and  'Operation Summer Nights' are already addressing problems related to alcohol.

“Neighbourhood policing, developed from a national pilot scheme in Brunswick Ward, will allow the public to tell us what is most important to them and will bring local people and services together to work towards making improvements to quality of life. This strategy puts the building blocks for future success firmly in place."
